IVS has been developed by Felipe P.G. Bergo and Alexandre
X. Falcão. A special version of IVS is available for free
download, for educational and research use.
Requirements: A PC-compatible (i586 with MMX extensions, such as Pentium III, Pentium IV, Athlon, etc.) computer with at least 256 MB of RAM and a Linux-based operating system (e.g.: Red Hat Linux, Slackware Linux, etc.). Installation may require super-user privileges.
The quick guide (available for download, below) has directions on using the software and further details about the hardware and software requirements. It also contains the basic bibliographic references for those interested on the theoretical background.
ivs-1.11-web.tgz -- (200 KB) Slackware package built on Slackware Linux 9.0, glibc 2.3.1 with gcc 3.2.2. Should work on Slackware Linux 9.0 and later.
ivs-1.11-web.tar.gz -- (200 KB) Generic binary package built on Slackware 9.0, glibc 2.3.1 with gcc 3.2.2. Recommended for those without super-user privileges, see the Quick Guide for details.
