The Institute of Computing
The demand for professionals in the Information Technology area has been growing at high rates for several years, which has led professionals from other areas to occupy IT positions without adequate preparation. For over 10 years, the Institute of Computing (IC) of UNICAMP has sought to meet this demand for specific training by offering extension courses and, more notably, training specialists (University Extension modality) in some IT subareas, such as Software, Computer Networks and Mining for Complex Data.

Description
The Institute of Computing offers several types of courses, such as Specialist Training, Improvement and Dissemination Courses, all of which are considered University Extension. For more information on course types, access: https://www.extecamp.unicamp.br/cursos.asp.
Courses can be distance learning (on teaching platforms) or face-to-face. Classes, when face-to-face, are given at the Instituto de Computação da UNICAMP, campus in Campinas/SP, in the district of Barão Geraldo (http://www.unicamp.br/unicamp/mapas).
