Artificial Intelligence refers to the ability of a system to correctly interpret external data, learn from that data, and use those learnings to achieve specific goals and tasks through flexible adaptation. In this sense, it is present in the most diverse sectors of society. AI enables automation at different levels in many aspects of human knowledge. As a consequence, the demand for Engineering and Computing professionals with specific knowledge in understanding, analyzing and dealing with data and automation is increasing.

Objective

The purpose of this certificate is to certify the complementary training of computing professionals in artificial intelligence, data science and machine learning techniques. It seeks to stimulate critical thinking in relation to data, analysis, processing, development of solutions involving analysis, learning and inference from data.

* Due to the equivalence registered in the DAC between MC906 and EA072 (Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Applications), the student will be able to use the credits in EA072.

The renewal of the offer of the certificate will take place every two years, by decision of the
GC/IC approved by the Congregation of the IC.
