Software Development Course Supported by Generative AI

The Institute of Computing is now accepting applications for the course SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORTED BY GENERATIVE AI – Extension program.

Target audience: Professionals working as software engineers, developers, testers (quality analysts), and related professionals who have at least a high school diploma.

Unique Feature: Today, virtually every professional already uses co-pilots to support software development. However, the intention of this course is to add techniques and practices that allow professionals to use this support more systematically. Thus, the objective is to train these professionals in project, coding, and testing activities supported by Generative Artificial Intelligence models, using APIs, chat interfaces, and tools integrated into IDEs (co-pilots).

Methodological Procedures: The proposed course contains a mix of synchronous and asynchronous classes totaling 48 hours. Asynchronous classes will be pre-recorded with materials provided in advance, in addition to exercises. Synchronous classes will explore expository and practical approaches remotely (online). Assessments will be theoretical and practical, through a project.
