The award-winning technique aims to detect hidden messages in digital images. Why is the detection of such messages so important? Criminals often use this type of communication for terrorism and illegal business on the Internet (for example, to exchange child pornography content).
The technique is able to analyze the pixel statistics of the image and point out inconsistencies that may be related to possible hidden messages in the pixel properties.
