Hello!

I'm an Associate Professor at University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in the Institute of Computing (IC). I'm also a faculty member of the REasoning for COmplex Data laboratory (Recod.ai), a researcher at the Hub for Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Architectures (H.IAAC), and a researcher at the FAPESP-CPA Center of Artificial Intelligence for Health and Well-being (Viva Bem).

My main research line is in the development of cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Agentic AI techniques and their application into a range of areas, such as Bioinformatics, Health and Well-being, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Recommender Systems and related topics.
