RustyB at the NE corner of panel f101v1, right half of logical page f101v. RustyC at the NE corner of panel/page f102v1, RustyD at the NE corner of panel/page f103v. GreenA along the top edge of panel/page f103r. This note analyzes the stains and their implications. See the report in file "report.html". SETUP mkdir images ln -s ../work ln -s work/error_funcs.gawk ln -s work/FromBeinecke GETTING THE IMAGES Built a table "images/clipped/clip-list.txt" with the panels of quires 19 and 20 in bookworm chewing order, with orientation bit and reference positions of the Rusty and Greeen stains. The table was built bu displaying the page images display_pages.sh 01 42 & then obtaining the relevant coordinates with gimp, and entring them by hand in the table. Create convenience links for the images in bookworm chewing order: create_full_panel_links.sh Create annotated versions of the full panel images: annotate_full_images.sh Rusty Clipped the relevant portions of the Beinecke 2014 scans: make_stain_clips.sh Rusty 01 20 1100 800 1040 50 See images "{NN}-{R}-{FNUM}.png", in folders "images/clipped/Rusty" and "images/clipped/Green", where {NN} is the sequence number of the clip in bookworm gnawing order (f99r = "01", etc), {R} is 0 for normal orientation and 1 for LR-flipped, and {FNUM} is the f-number of the panel (NOT of the logical page). To better analyze the seeps, the verso clips were flipped LR. See links/images in "images/sorted". Creating them: ( cd images/sorted && make_sorted_clips.sh Rusty ) REPORT Wrote a report "report/report.html" on this investigation. The "Green" part is still missing. TO DO Analyze the "Green" stains: annotate_full_images.sh Green make_stain_clips.sh Green 01 42 800 980 400 40 ( cd images/sorted && make_sorted_clips.sh Green )
