English has a fairly high entropy,
presumably because of its preference for consonants over
vowels, and its mixed germanic/romance etymology. Note that
the most predictable letters (dark blue) tend to be ``bugs'' of
the spelling system, like the (which should be
written as a single letter) and qu (which could
be written kw).
Note also that word breaks are
relatively predictable. A curious feature is the highly
unexpected m in disillusionment
--- indeed, one could argue that the
-ment suffix should be written as a separate word!
