This part of the river may have its lever raised by the dam, but relatively little additional area will be flooded. presently it contains many islands and sandbanks.
Some parts of the outline are uncertain because the available images were obscured by clouds.
The river is being entered as a polygon with "river" category, overlaid with islands, rather than one river with riversides or multiple channels with riversides. The reason is that the riversides concept is very hard to use in such broad rivers with independently complex margins. Moreover the riversides editing tool is currently buggy. With this approach the river geometry is easily entered, one island at a time.
