Attempt to produce figures for the Jornada de Matemática 2007
talk at PUC-Rio.  

The file {basis.h} should be merged and expanded into {libapprox}.

The main programs are {makefigs.c} and {figs1d.{h,c}}; they are
derived from those in ${STOLFIHOME}/programs/c/FIGS/2005-dygrid/.
Still incompletely fixed.
