Their purpose is to analyze experimentally the dependency of the running time of the main algorithm on parameters such as the number of edges {nE}, the number of cutting planes {k}, and the number of plane-edge intersections {m}. The general member of the family {B(Ns,Nr,Nb)} is a keg-shaped object, symmetric about the {Z} axis and the {Z=0} plane, whose wall consists of {Nr} rings of {Ns} trapezoidal faces. Each meridional (vertical-ish) side of those faces is subdivided into {Nb+1} edges by {Nb} vertices of degree 2.
