In each washing the seeds were covered with ethanol then forcibly stirred by many minutes. The ethanol was decanted and filtered, yielding a red-orange clear filtrate and a brown residue insoluble in ethanol. The rsidue was placed in an eflask with ~25 ml of vimak, and was partly dissolved yielding a yellowish clear solution.
