Perhaps the monohydrate? Reagent solution (A): 10.38 g of H2C2O4(H2O)2, 17.96 g H2O. Dissolved at ~65 C. Reagent solution (B): 6.27 g NaOH (Asher; monohydrate?), 7.70 g H2O. Dissolved at ~65 C. Added (A) to (B) with dropper. Quick efervescence, perhaps ebulition, that quieted down quickly. Fine crystalline ppt formed. Washed (A) beaker with 1.48 g H2O. Cooled resulting suspension to ~15 C and filtered. Filtrate (C) was initially clear. Washed beaker and ppt (D) repeatedly with ethanol 99%, adding the filtrate to (C). The ethanol became cloudy in contact with (C) and eventually depostied a white ppt too. Drying ppt at ~100 C Weight of ppt dry: 9.50 g (expected ~10 g).
