This webpage describes a part of the MobileMedia study and complements some results published on the Journal of Information and Software Technology (DOI). The objective of this study was to assess when aspects and components promote Product Line Architecture (PLA) stability in the presence of various types of evolutionary change. The assessment was based on conventional metric suites for change impact and modularity. This webpage presents the calculations regarding the change
impact analysis.
Change impact analysis
We refer to Siegel and Castellan book called Nonparametric statistics for the behavioral science and
Inferential statistics for more details about the procedures.
Both Friedman and Wilcoxon analysis were based on change impact metrics.
Change impact on modules and operations
These tables show the total change impact on modules and operations from R2 to R8 for all techniques
