The School

The central theme of the 2013 ASCrypto is Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). It is intended that the courses cover contemporary attractive topics, among which are lattice-based algorithms, protocols and applications such as homomorphic encryption, as well as code-based, hash-based and multivariate quadratic schemes. Basic and advanced-level courses will be taught, focusing both theoretical and practical aspects. Problem sessions and social activities are also being planned as part of the School's schedule.

The School will happen in October 17 to 20, 2013, at Recanto Champagnat, formerly a monastery at a hilltop in Florianópolis, the island city capital of Santa Catarina state, at the south of Brazil, also known for its beautiful beaches and a lagoon that dominates the center of the island. The organization is a joint effort by the University of Campinas and the Federal University of Santa Catarina.

The registration fee includes a four-night stay at Recanto Champagnat, with meals included, plus materials. A limited number of bursaries will be available to help offset registration costs.
