Brief summary
The Cardiac Monitor is an instrument used by nurses that helps them provide the best care to the patient. Unfortunately, there is a lack of knowledge on how to operate the equipment and interpret its results to take appropriate actions. To carry out this interpretation correctly, it is necessary to have knowledge about the physiology of the heart. Therefore, in this project we are proposing the construction of a playful scenario where the student must build the heart of a robot and organize its operation. Through this scenario, the student reflects on cardiac cycles, on how the electrical activity of the heart has an effect on the electrocardiogram wave and on the effect on the mechanical activity of the heart. Our main research problem involves an innovative environment in the nursing area using block-based learning. In addition to the design of the environment, there is the challenge of how to evaluate nursing students in their interaction due to the open characteristics of the learning environment. To do this, we evaluate the students' interaction profile to discover patterns in their strategies to address the problem and find the best way to evaluate them.
